Drive Me Crazy
By Beth Bolden
Book #1: Food Truck Warriors
Release Date: August 26, 2020
The Storyline: Drive Me Crazy, an Food Porn, MM romance by Beth Bolden
When Tony Blake walks into what might be a blind date, he’s surprisingly intrigued despite his irritation with his meddling brother. But when Lucas turns out to be a new employee for their food truck, Tony’s usual charm deserts him.
Lucas might be fantastically creative in the kitchen, but to Tony’s disappointment, he’s not interested in more than a casual hookup. Old Tony would have loved the lack of strings, but New Tony is finally ready for it all.
He’s ready to find love and to help the food truck thrive. What he needs is Lucas next to him, revolutionizing their carnivore menu with his vegan point of view, and what he wants is Lucas underneath him in bed, turning his life inside out.
As the kitchen heats up in the Los Angeles summer, can Tony figure out how to drive Lucas crazy enough to change his mind?

My Thoughts: Drive Me Crazy
This was my first Beth Bolden book, I was impressed. This is a light book from the standpoint of it was easy to get into and was not a book that required deep concentration to keep up with the storyline.
The romance between Tony and Lucas is a bit of a slow burn or slow build romance, but once it gets there, they cannot keep their hands off each other. It was pretty hot. I also found the ancillary characters, Wyatt and Ryan endearing and really did add to the novel. I have learned after the fact that their story stems from a different series from Beth Bolden: Kitchen God Series: Catch Me.
The “mystery” in the novel (the actual story) is driven by outside forces, that I believe helped to deepen the relationship but stems from the competitors in the food truck realm, jealous co-workers, and some internal theft. I felt it was just the right amount of story.
I have to admit, I think I gained 5 pounds reading this book! The food sounded so good…I found myself hungry just reading it. Not a good time when I typically read while going to bed!
I would wholeheartedly recommend this book. If the rest of the upcoming series is done this well, it will be fantastic. Thank you Beth!
